What Is Board and Training?
A Board and Train program is where your dog comes and stays with us for the duration of their training. Our board and train program is ideal for people who either do not have the time to train their dog or those whose dog is exhibiting severe behavioral problems.
A board and training program can help your pet transform their mindset and live a happier life. The training sessions make up the bulk of your dog’s day. We offer specialized packages that are tailored to each dog’s personality and needs. Depending on the dog, we may be focusing on one major task the entire duration of their stay or teaching a variety of new behaviors.
What’s most important is establishing trust and a clear communication system with your dog, so they feel comfortable working with us and taking what they learn back home to you.
Our 3-Week Board and Training Program.
Our 3-week world-famous dog training board and train program focus on obedience both on-leash and off-leash, from inside the home to higher distraction areas, such as parks, department stores, beaches, etc.
Our Dog trainers focus on real-world dog obedience at all times. We will give your dog a 100% reliable recall regardless of the environmental distractions.
While obedience behavior and tricks are fun, what sets us apart from other trainers is our focus on house manners and everyday lifestyle. Remember that your dog will spend most of its time with you at home. Therefore, we want to make your overall experience with your dog more enjoyable.
We are balanced trainers and utilize all four quadrants of operant conditioning as needed by each individual dog. We start our training in our facility in a very low distraction setting so that we can build a bond and earn your dog’s trust. After your dog has learned all the commands, we will work on duration, distance and distraction. From then on we will proof your dog’s training in high distraction settings in order to set them up for success in the real world!
Once Training Is Done?
We will have what we call a turn over at the end of the program. This will include:
- Learning about motivations and rewards
- Learning and Giving new commands with assertiveness
- Correcting unwanted behavior
- Knowing how to stay in control and communicate with your dog
- Plan for anywhere between 3-4 hours spent with us going over the last three weeks
Our trainers are experts in dog training. Together we have many years of experience under our belt, along with the ability to conquer various dog training challenges. We have a passion for helping animals and their owners. You’ll receive a free consultation and evaluation before signing up upon your request, and we’ll make sure that you have the advice you need to keep up your dog’s progress in the future.
The right dog trainer makes all the difference. Knowing that your pet is with a reputable expert can give you peace of mind while your dog is away.
Safety for Your Pet
Dogs with behavioral issues, such as aggression, pose a threat to others and themselves. In-home training may not even be possible for some people and in that case a boarding program will be your best option in guaranteeing that your dog is somewhere safe but structured.
They will not be at risk of harming others and risking liability to you, nor will they be in danger of harming themselves if they’re the type to attack or run away out of fear.
For people with a packed schedule or whose pets present a training challenge, board & training takes away the stress and frustration.
Whether you’re a first-time dog owner or someone looking for a last resort, our Jacksonville dog training and boarding facility allows you to change your pet’s life without feeling overwhelmed.
