If your dog is not a fit for the program, if the timing is off, if we honestly do not think we can move the needle, we tell you and point you to who can. Do you actually drive to Wilmington for pickup and delivery?
Yes. Every board and train program includes door-to-door pickup and delivery. We come to you in Wilmington on drop-off day and return your dog on pickup day. No inconvenient facility drop-offs.
How is this different from the trainers already in Wilmington?
Most Wilmington trainers offer group classes or private lessons. Board and train is a different beast. Your dog lives with a certified trainer in their home for 21 days while we build the pattern, then we hand you the maintenance protocol. Group class dogs perform in the class. Our dogs perform on Wrightsville at low tide.
My dog is reactive on downtown walks. Is that fixable?
Yes. Downtown Wilmington is one of the most trigger-dense environments in Eastern NC and it is exactly what we prep dogs for. Skateboards, food vendors, other dogs at every corner, crowded sidewalks. We build the exposure and disengagement work that lets your dog walk downtown like it is boring.
Do you cover the beach communities?
Yes. Wrightsville, Carolina Beach, and Kure Beach are all inside our regular service area. Beach recall is one of the specific real-world tests we run at the end of the program for coastal families.
