Serving Camp Lejeune, NC

A regular part of our Eastern NC service area.

Camp Lejeune families are the backbone of who we serve. Between MCB Camp Lejeune, MCAS New River, and the surrounding on-base housing, we work with more active duty Marines and their families than any other demographic. We know PCS timelines. We know deployment schedules. We know what it takes to leave a spouse with a dog they can actually manage.

The Ridgeside K9 Standard

We do not enroll dogs we cannot help.

Most companies pitch you no matter what. We will not. If your dog is not a fit for the program, if the timing is off, if we honestly do not think we can move the needle, we tell you and point you to who can. When we say yes to a Camp Lejeune family's dog, we do it because we know we can help. And if you finish the program and get stuck, we keep coaching you for the life of your dog at no charge.

Camp Lejeune FAQ

The questions Camp Lejeune families ask us.

Can you work with our PCS timeline?
Yes. We build training around military deadlines every week. Tell us the PCS date on the evaluation call and we build the program schedule around it, including expedited start when needed. We understand orders do not wait.
What happens when we PCS to another base?
The Freedom Pack is a nationwide network. If your next duty station is near another Ridgeside K9 territory, you can plug into their community for pack walks and group classes at no additional cost. If not, you still have virtual coaching for life. Your training moves with you.
Do you offer military discounts?
Yes. We honor military discount pricing for active duty, retirees, veterans, and immediate family. Ask on the evaluation call and we walk through the specific rate for your situation.
Can I use my dog for legitimate service dog work?
If your dog fits the temperament and health profile and you have documented need, yes. We train legitimate service dogs for PTSD, mobility, and psychiatric support work. What we will not do is sell you a certification or a vest for a pet dog. Real service dog training is what protects your ADA rights.
